Leading Legacies was founded by Colette Leader-Kalumbi, an educator and creative with a lifelong passion for learning, literacy, and the arts. At the core of the founder’s vision is a simple but powerful belief: Education should empower students to think critically, communicate confidently, and lead with purpose.

With experience supporting learners across multiple age groups and learning styles, the founder recognized a growing need for education that goes beyond completing assignments. Leading Legacies was created to help students truly understand what they are learning—building strong foundations in reading, comprehension, and academic confidence that extend far beyond the classroom.

Colette's heart for education is rooted in the belief that every student has potential worth nurturing. By combining structured academic support with creative expression through music and the arts, Leading Legacies reflects a holistic approach to learning—one that values intellect, creativity, discipline, and character.

Through patient instruction, encouragement, and intentional mentorship, the founder remains committed to helping students grow not only as learners but as future leaders equipped to make meaningful contributions in their communities.

Colette teaches steel pan and voice. She also leads academic tutoring.
